Bird Creatives is grateful to have guided West Anthem through a successful rebrand, economic profile study and content creation project. We’re even more excited that this champion of local music (alongside Alberta Music) has asked us to develop music city strategies for Edmonton and Calgary.

Calgary’s signature winter festival that brings together partners from the arts, nonprofit, neighbourhood, tourism, and sports communities to create an inclusive event that showcases the best of our snow-clad city. Oh yeah, and we manage it.

Bird Creatives had the incredibly exciting opportunity to show off Calgary internationally! Supporting presenting sponsor Tourism Calgary, on June 24, we delivered signature programming for the “Give Back Bash” hosted by the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) Foundation.

We had the pleasure and honour of bringing the 27th and 28th Esquao Awards Gala to life in partnership with the Institute for the Advancement of Aboriginal Women (IAAW) at the Grey Eagle Casino and the Edmonton EXPO Centre respectively. Here are our notable achievements.

Calgary welcomed over 4,000 visitors, including athletes, coaches, officials, and mission staff, along with their families and friends for the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games 2024!

We were thrilled to have the opportunity to produce both the Opening Ceremony and the Safeway’s Champions Celebration.

The summer of 2024 was full of community, fun, and celebration in Spruce Grove thanks to four vibrant market events that brought locals and visitors together. Each event, unique in its theme and offerings, transformed the city centre into a lively hub! Bird Creatives was thrilled to put together the “Summer at the Centre” markets in partnership with the Spruce Grove City Centre Business Association!

Bird Creatives was thrilled to work as the event producer for the Calgary Downtown Strategy Open Houses! These events featured insightful panel discussions, and trade show-style booth activations that featured city, community, and art partners.

Since Bird Creatives hatched, CADA has entrusted us with management roles on their Poet Laureate program, Living a Creative Life civic arts strategy, Mayor's Lunch for Arts Champions, and Leaders Legacy Artist Awards. We love building a vibrant arts community with CADA!

CreativeCITY is a collaborative effort where we draw from research, community engagement, and creative leadership to develop a living strategy for a vibrant creative economy in Calgary.

Working with partners, we took on the role of general management team to produce Canada’s biggest country music awards as they celebrated their 40th anniversary in Calgary in September 2022.

We proudly manage the day-to-day operations of this open-source platform connecting Calgarians to live experiences and events, and supporting local artists and businesses.

Celebrating Life is a festival held in the spirit of celebrating and honouring the lives of those who are no longer with us. Bird Creatives partnered with Celebrating Life to promote the diverse artists and events that were happening during the festival.
